Job Description

- Provide Basis consulting services to our clients
- Take primary responsibility for solving customers' technical issues by providing technical expertise, project planning, guidance and instruction on SAP solutions and business processes.
- Perform SAP product implementations, upgrades, patching, migrations, and conversions (e.g. ECC to S/4HANA)
- Responsible for implementing, administering, and supporting SAP NetWeaver J2EE / ABAP stacks
- Work with clients to analyze systems infrastructure and technical requirements.
- Provide Amazon Web Service (AWS) support and maintenance services.
- Provide support in the areas of: database administration and tuning, transport management, back-up/recovery procedures, change management, performance assessments, SAP Note application, job scheduling, system refreshes, monitoring and general maintenance.
- Coach, mentor and collaborate closely with other CONTAX team members. Prepare training materials and provide technical training as needed

Requirements

- Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident status
- Bachelor's degree from a university in a technical field or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of SAP Basis consulting or SAP / NetWeaver / Basis Administration experience
- Must have proven experience in supporting implementations of SAP-based infrastructure solutions with multiple SAP products, including ECC, S/4HANA, BW and Solution Manager
- Experience with MSSQL, HANA administration and tuning. Oracle, Sybase and MaxDB would be nice to have.
- Experience with virtual servers. AWS or Azure experience would be an asset.
- Experience with a UNIX / LINUX environment.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are essential. This position requires frequent client interaction
- Knowledgeable in system infrastructure sizing and load testing
- Able to Multi-task and work under tight deadlines
- Must be able to work independently with little to no supervision
- Must be an effective problem solver
- Must be flexible and experienced working on Critical / High Priority problems / issues and have the ability to clearly articulate the chosen solutions
